An everyday ritual is performed at the same time to increase its effectiveness. It's just you, the reminder alarm you set, and a small pill. Day in and day out, roughly three hundred and thirty-six pills in a twelve-month cycle. We start the ritual in our adolescent years and can continue forever, or so they tell us. They, the ones outside our body, indirectly control our relationship to this pill - changing regulations, and prices; does my insurance cover this? They say it will fix our acne, but do not ask if we are willing to trade it for migraines and low libido. Our body, our choice, our cost, their influence.
